Shelby pool table

Remember the Mustang pool table? Well now there’s more of the same, but better. The Shelby version of that pool table, signed by Mr. Carroll Shelby himself. There are still about a dozen or so available, going from $12,000 to $30,000 in case you’re interested.

Me? I’d buy a real Mustang with that kind of money.

Brent Mustangburger

Meet Brent Mustangburger (voiced by Brent Musburger), a new character for the sequel to the Disney Pixar hit, CARS. CARS brings some style with a 1964½ Mustang that plays an well known sports broadcaster.

Brent Mustangburger is an American sports broadcasting icon. With the self-proclaimed “best stall in the garage,” the excitable 1964½ Ford Mustang is widely considered one of the most recognizable voices in the history of automobile sports television and associated with some of the most memorable moments in modern sports.

Looks like I will have to join my kids to the movies once more this summer ;)

Why didn’t I have toys like that?

Look at this. Listen carefully. Why didn’t I have toys like that? Seriously, I think I would never grow up that way ;)

Remember #5? There’s an ad for that!

In January 2007 I blogged about this officially Ford licensed Mustang pedal car. It’s currently out of stock but the price seems to be at $269 by now, that’s $40 more than when I first wrote about it.

What I didn’t know then was that you could actually buy these ‘Midget Mustangs’ at the Ford dealership back in ‘66.

“Specially priced at only $12,95. While they last!”

In a new series of blogposts that I’m preparing I wanted to expand the focus of this blog to all classic muscle cars, and for once not just the Mustang. And although I’m not ready yet with those posts, the news about the Camustenger seemed like the perfect way to announce this new series. Why? Because it really is the Camaro, Mustang and Challenger mixed up. Not bad even :)

It is just a model but still worth checking out. You can find more information about this Camustenger right here.

Mustang pool table

Just in time for the holiday period, here’s what I just might have to add to my wishlist – the Mustang pool table. Available in any color, the pool table comes at an introductory price of $7,999 so why wait right?

Augmented Mustang reality

Remember the when I wrote about this Flash website, that allowed you to drive around with a 3D mustang on the site. That was nice but what this developer has done now is way beyond nice, it’s just totally cool. I already said on my other Twitter account recently that ‘Augmented Reality is the new black’ with several applications showing up online, advertisers taking smart advantage of the technology such as you can see here.

Today my buddy Steven sent me some other cool application… because it was Mustang related. It’s one of the many AR examples I’ve seen lately but must say I find it one of the coolest (yeah even if it wouldn’t have been with a Mustang). It’s much more dynamic that most cases where it just shows a static 3D object. Just like the creator notes:

“In most of the cool AR projects I have seen so far [1] [2] the user is supposed to hold the marker and move it around in front of the camera and the 3d object follows the marker. I had a slightly different idea: why not just leave the marker and the camera in one place and use your keyboard to move around the 3d objects?”

Check it out this video!
